I live in Denmark. We also have good dentists here. They are pricy though. And, that's why I started searching for a trustworthy dentist to check on my oral health as well as aesthetics. I was considering veneers. I was planning 2 weeks holiday to Rio, so I read many reviews of local dentists and tried to get as much information as I could about the procedures I was dreaming about: that perfect smile, without looking fake. That's how I found Dr. Rowan Vilar. Highly recommended by a previous Danish patient. I decided to write to Dr. Rowan. The first thing that I liked about him it was the quick reply to my inquiring. He provided lots of information and the same week we scheduled our first Zoom consultation. I noticed that he was not in a hurry. With time and care, he provided again more in-depth information with PDFs and links. A scanning was made in Denmark to give him a better idea of my teeth situation. Then, we had a second Zoom consultation. This time, I received a lecture of what was going on in my mouth and what we could do about to fix it, if I decided to proceed with treatment in his office. I felt secure that I would be in good hands. And now, my smile tells me I was/am. In Rio, great office located in Ipanema beach, just a few meters from the metro. The front desk staff, assistants and other doctors made me feel right at home immediately. Everything was on time. In two weeks, I treated 2 canals, changed several old silver fillings for resin and put veneers on the upper teeth. Yes, I still had time to enjoy my vacation in Rio. I'll be back to get my lower teeth done next vacation. Oh yes! It's much cheaper than in Denmark.

Greatly satisfied and very surprised by the attention I got. I got implants and crowns with the best result I hoped for. Simply the best choice. The area where the clinic is located its really nice and safe. The Doctors and everybody were so nice, polite and helpful. Looking forward to coming back and bringing my wife, so she can have some work done on her teeth. I strongly recommend it.

Best Dental Practice in Western Crete I feel extremely lucky to have found this dentist in Chania. I suffered from the most severe toothache for over a week. It was a difficult case. Two other dentists from Chania had already examined me, found nothing, and sent me home empty-handed. Dr. Kourouklidis was completely different. I contacted him desperately one weekend. He immediately called me into his very professionally equipped practice the same day, examined me thoroughly, found the causes of my pain, and the subsequent two-month treatment (2 root canals of the front teeth + a jaw surgery, removal of a cyst in the upper jaw) was the best I have ever experienced with a dentist. Dr. Kourouklidis works very calmly and adeptly with the latest technology. According to his own statements, he completed his training in England and the USA and has many years of practical experience abroad and in Greece. In fluent English, he answered all my questions in a friendly, detailed, and understandable way. He works very carefully, with magnifying glasses, takes a lot of time for the patient, and has actually managed that I hardly had any pain during and after all the treatments and lost my fear of dentists. For extensive operations (in my case, the removal of a large cyst), he cooperates with an excellent, expert jaw surgeon from Athens who comes to Chania and performs the operation here at his Dental Clinic. It is also worth mentioning that, as far as I know, Dr. Kourouklidis is the only private dentist who treats emergencies in Chania even on weekends. In my case, he even travelled from Rethymnon on a Sunday to be able to help me immediately in his practice in Chania. Respect for so much dedicated work! Recently revisited Dr. Alina in Denta Care for gum surgery (apicoectomy) and a crown and as with my previous visit. What a great experience, the infection cleared and fully healed. Though I have not yet received treatment, I wish to convey my appreciation to Dr Antillon for his quick and accommodating service. All aspects of my upcoming trip were well serviced including airport pick-up and living accommodations. I have been well informed throughout the process with phone calls and e-mail updates.
