Treatment: Total Hip Arthroplasty, and post-op rehab. I am no stranger to ‘Health Tourism’, and contacted several clinics in other countries for the same operation – total hip replacement on one side. I contacted KCM Clinic after reading reviews and details on ‘What Clinic’ website. From that point on, I was most impressed with the speed, detailed information and costs sent by KCM, such that I decided to go ahead and have my hip replaced by them in preference to others. The UK NHS was a total non-starting failure. Every single aspect of the visit from arrival in Wroclaw to homeward journey was almost ‘micro-managed’ with superb efficiency. Transport from/to the airport, hotel arrangements, transport to/from the clinic nearby, pre-surgery assessments, surgery and hospital clinic stay, daily physiotherapy afterwards, all happened extremely smoothly. Yes, there was quite a bit of ‘waiting around’ at times during pre-op assessment, some of it caused by my own request for further cardiology assessment. The actual hip replacement operation occurred as arranged and was very straightforward. The level of care from clinic staff was exceptionally high, the coordinator was extremely helpful and accommodating at all times, the surgeon attended every day after the operation to check on progress and even changed the dressing himself, and the rehab. The physiotherapist always gave superb individual attention to maximise post-operative mobility. A very detailed discharge pack was handed to me when leaving the clinic, including CDs of all X-rays and diagnostic images, ready to pass on to the GP when returning to UK (in Polish, though – but I’m sure it can be well understood in medical circles). Can I recommend them? Without reservation! What about language? Polish is spoken throughout, but nearly everyone has a good command of English or German so communication was never an issue. I was continually impressed by the clinic, and they showed what true ‘health care’ is all about. All-in-all it has been the most positive experience, well beyond my expectations, and one that I will repeat soon for the other side! Thank you so much, KCM.

Having contemplated surgery for a really long time due to having a medical condition called thrombocytopenia, I finally decided the time was right and had a consultation with Mr Awf Quaba. From initial email enquiry, to consultation and surgery, the entire process was absolutely faultless and I was made to feel extremely reassured throughout the entire process. Due to my thrombocytopenia the procedure was far more complex than a standard mastopexy procedure as I required a platelet transfusion before and after surgery along with an overnight stay in hospital, a number of consultants and nurses were involved in this process and I honestly can’t thank them all enough. My safety and care was absolutely paramount and I felt this from everyone who was involved in my care. I am absolutely delighted with the outcome and cannot thank everyone involved enough. I suffered an anterior cruciate ligament rupture and meniscus tear as a result of an injury while playing volleyball. I chose Dr. Mesut upon my friend's suggestion. After the MRI result and physical examination, Dr. Mesut made the diagnosis. I had closed surgery a week after the injury. I chose spinal anaesthesia because it stated that the postoperative period would be more comfortable, and my surgery lasted 2 hours. During the pre-and post-operative period, Mr Mesut made me feel safe with the information he gave and reduced my pain with the medications he gave me. He received information about my situation through our daily phone calls and made the necessary suggestions. My range of motion and muscle strength progressed as they should, appropriate for the ACL weeks. He continued his check-ups during the physiotherapy I received 2-3 days a week. Thanks to his open communication and smiling face, I always felt at ease. Now I'm in the 6th week and my walking is back to normal and my range of motion is full.

I was recommended to Maria many years ago. I had suffered a whiplash injury and the pain went all the way from my neck through to my lower back and worsened during cold or damp weather. After suffering for many months and thinking I would just have to live with it, I went to Maria on my friend's advice but admit I was not hopeful.
