Dr. Mehmet SOLMAZ was born in Mersin in 1989. Mehmet Solmaz, who completed his primary and high school education in Mersin, graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (English) in 2015, and started his Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery specialization at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2016, becoming a specialist in 2021.

Dr. During his specialization, Mehmet SOLMAZ increased his experience in the field of plastic surgery by working with the most valuable professors of Turkey, who are among the best in their field. He was mainly involved in surgeries including maxillofacial surgery, cleft lip and palate, hand surgery, microsurgery, various reconstruction surgeries for skin tumors, aesthetic surgeries for the face, breast and other body areas.

Dr. Mehmet SOLMAZ successfully passed the proficiency exam organized by the European Association of Plastic Surgeons in 2021 and was entitled to receive the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Proficiency Certificate (EBOPRAS). .

He attended many scientific meetings and congresses at national and international levels and observed the work of distinguished plastic surgeons of our country and the world, as well as presenting his own studies.

Mr Umran graduated from The University of London in 1991 to embark upon his surgical career. After four years of training in general surgery at a number of London teaching hospitals, he became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS). He then undertook eight years of training in plastic surgery in London as well as periods spent at specialist centers in Australia and Belgium. In 2002, he gained the Specialist Fellowship in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) and was entered on the GMC Specialist Register for plastic surgery in 2004.

In 1999, Mr Umran was awarded the higher post-graduate degree of Doctorate in Medicine (MD) having spent two years at the Restoration of Appearance and Function Trust (RAFT) developing a laboratory produced artificial skin replacement. This research was sponsored by The Royal College of Surgeons of England. Throughout his career, Mr Umran has continued to publish his work within the plastic surgery and scientific literature, and present nationally and internationally at plastic surgery conferences. Following the completion of his surgical training in England, Mr Umran was awarded a traveling fellowship by the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) to study with one of the world’s leading authorities in cosmetic surgery in Melbourne, Australia. Since then, he has continued to develop his skills in cosmetic surgery as a consultant and now regularly teaches junior plastic surgeons. His main interests are breast surgery, and body contouring.

In 2004, Mr Umran was appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London where he specialized in reconstructive surgery following ablative cancer excision. He left the NHS in 2018 to devote his efforts to full-time private practice. He currently operates in Central London at The London Clinic, and in Southwest London at Wimbledon Parkside Hospital. He is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS). He is a previous President of BAAPS (2018-2020) and has worked within Council for over 10 years. He is the current Aesthetic lead for BAPRAS (appointed 2022) and comments regularly in the media on topical plastic surgery issues. He has also been featured in several television documentaries.

Now he continues his job at Istanbul Aktif International Hospitals.

Mr Kural is a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeon in the Turkey and is a fully accredited Plastic Surgeon on the General Medical Council’s specialist register for plastic surgery. Mr Kural’s practice is based at BMI The Alexandra Hospital, Cheshire. Mr Kural is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Manchester in the School of Cancer and Imaging Sciences. As an Honorary Lecturer, Mr Kural actively teaches undergraduate Medical Students, as well as Postgraduate Plastic Surgical Trainees.

Mr Kural is a member of a number of renowned associations, including British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS); British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS); American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) Association of Breast Surgeons (ABS); British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists (BAHNO); General Medical Council (GMC) Certification of Completion of Training (CCT) Plastic Surgery.

Having qualified in medicine at the University of Bristol, Mr Kural underwent surgical training in Australia, Bristol and Plymouth before commencing his career in the Plastic Surgery field in 1997. Mr Kural undertook a number of fellowships including, Mentor International Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship at King Edward VII Hospital, London; North West Aesthetic Fellowship in Chester, Liverpool and Manchester; One year Oncoplastic fellowship in Toronto, Canada (breast and head and neck surgery); two year fellowship in Canniesburn Hospital, Glasgow (head and neck and facial plastics).

Mr Kural gained experience in the Plastic Surgery units of Plymouth and Bristol; he then spent a further two years in the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit, Glasgow as a head and neck fellow. Mr Kural subsequently went on to complete a higher doctorate (MD) in head and neck surgery. Following this, Mr Kural completed his speciality plastic surgery training programme in the North West, leading to a further qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS plast) and subsequently the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). In 2007 Mr Kural took up a consultant post in the NHS in 2007 and having retired from the NHS in 2013 now provides plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic treatments from his private practice based at the BMI Alexandra in Cheadle.

Mr Kural is internationally respected and is a leading figure within the Plastic Surgery industry. Over the course of his career, Mr Kural has published numerous articles both nationally and internationally and has presented across the globe on over 200 occasions. Mr Kural has organized various international conferences and instructional courses in addition. Mr Kural is currently a mentor for BAAPS and currently provides anatomical cadaveric workshops for aesthetic training

In day to day practice, Mr Kural provides an individualized approach to each of his patients. All patients are fully informed of the pros, cons and risks of surgery and a detailed consenting process is undertaken to ensure patients are fully informed. In order to provide optimal results, Mr Kural applies the newest most innovative techniques in his practice.
